If you think that twitter is about what someone had for lunch, You are doing it wrong! This is an introductory webinar that will demonstrate powerful uses of twitter. You will have the opportunity to create a twitter account (if you don’t already have one) and to explore first hand how you can use twitter to create a powerful personal learning network and/or to enhance your instruction. Through demonstration and hand’s on opportunities in twitter, you will learn the basics of how to build your own twitter community, how to communicate with others, how to share links and resources, how to keep up to date, and how to use twitter for problem solving, and serendipitous learning. You will also explore the benefits of micro-blogging, and the power of micro-learning, and synchronous learning. You will also learn how to use twitter in presentations, for events, and we will look at examples of instructional uses of twitter, so you can brainstorm and consider how you might use it in your own online or face to face instruction. A dynamic list of twitter-related resources will be made available to participants so you can continue your exploration of twitter after the webinar. If you have anything you want to be sure I cover in the session, let me know! http://twtpoll.com/ek95tv
