We are just starting on our blackboard journey and looking at difference way to give our library a presence in blackboard. Three ideas we are testing out are:
Was looking for some feedback on your thoughts, what you have tried, and what did and did not work so well.
Thank you in advance.
I think it depends a lot on what presence the library is going to have. If you are going to provide access to all the different resources of the library (e.g. databases, research assistance, etc) in Blackboard, then a tab would make sense. If you just want users to learn to use library resources, then an organization might work. If you want to just link to essential resources and direct students to the library webpage, then a module is a best page.
Here at Cayuga, we're getting to implement some changes and the best balance for us looks to be a module in a Student Resources Tab--it will be alone side our tutoring services and other support in individual modules.
