Hello Everyone,

I have a faculty member that is interested in using OER for her engineering courses and she wanted to know if anyone else is using and OER for an engineering book and where did you find it? The courses she is teaching are Engineering Mechanics (Statics and Dynamics), Strength of Materials, and Thermodynamics.

These are some of the things I found but wondering if someone was already using an OER book for these topics.

Open Textbook Library

- Basics of Fluid Mechanics

- Differential Equations for Engineers

MIT Open Courseware – these are actual courses that you can use and pull from. This might give you materials that you can use in the courses.

Open Education Consortium

- Engineering Statics

-Engineering Mechanics I
