Karen has over 20 years of experience in the learning field. She is leading the process of creating a formal online learning program at CCRI. In various roles, she has created plans and policies for educational environments and developed content for a myriad of topics and audiences to be delivered in person or from a distance. She was at Johnson & Wales University from March 2008 to Sept 2017. As an Instructional Designer, she created training faculty for online course development and delivery and worked closely with faculty developing online courses. Additionally, she provides regular support for faculty teaching online courses. She has served as a reviewer for Blackboards Exemplary Course Program. Previous to joining higher education, Karen was a content developer for a museum exhibit design firm and the peer review manager for the national museum association. She holds a M.A. in Educational Technology Leadership from The George Washington University, a M.S. in Developmental Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz and B.A., Psychology & Anthropology, Washington University in St. Louis.
